Complex Securities Valuation (Lead Solution Advisor/Senior Solution Advisor)
The Complex Securities Valuation team, part of Deloitte Advisory, provides services relating to the full life cycle of Valuation, including policy and process assessments, and quantitative solutions to support the valuation of all types of financial instruments including complex derivatives, securities, commodities and other investment products. Valuation service offering also provides advisory services to financial institutions, governmental agencies and finance companies.
Work you will do
•Support Deloitte US project teams in providing financial consulting services relating to business valuation. Assistin the valuation of intangible assets for regulatory, financial, and tax purposes as a result of mergers, acquisitions,divestitures, or financial restructuring
•Create/assist in creating financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry research, andwriting reports
•Deliver high-quality valuation work products and assist other team members in Deloitte India (Offices of the US),when required
•Interact with internal clients and communicate with managers in the United States
•Assist internal clients on client development and practice development assignments
•Supervise work of junior staff to ensure high quality of work products
•May need to work on other Deloitte Advisory engagements
The team
At Deloitte Advisory, our Business Valuation team provides a focused set of valuation consulting services to clients across a range of industry segments. Specific areas of focus include business and intangible asset valuation. Our wholly owned subsidiary at Hyderabad employs professionals who work closely with our US professionals to respond quickly and efficiently to the complex and diverse needs of our clients. We perform valuation services for derivatives, structured products, energy products and also exchange traded securities. . These services are provided to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting in accordance with ‘US GAAP’ or ‘IFRS’ accounting standards; and strategic planning. Qualifications and Experience
Required:
•Strong background in mathematical finance at the Master's level - degree in Mathematical Finance, Mathematicsof Finance, Financial Engineering or Quantitative Finance, or a related technical discipline.
•Understanding of financial instrument valuation concepts is desired and experience with valuation of securities orderivatives is a plus. Applicants are expected to have strong analytical and computer skills. Quantitative analysistechnical skills and experience with modeling and valuation tools (Monte-Carlo Simulations, Black Scholes, OptionsTheory, Bloomberg, and Numerix) are a plus.
•4-8 years of relevant Complex Securities Valuation experience
Preferred:
•CFA Level II cleared or appeared
•Ability to explain difficult financial modeling/valuation concepts to diverse client contacts
•Conceptual and quantitative depth in valuation methodologies and concepts and underlying markets and models.
