Audit Analytics Specialist Assistant for Automation CoE

Work you’ll do

As an audit analytics specialist assistant, you will use a suite of analytics tools and technologies to develop and execute analytics solutions that support audit engagement objectives, across all stages of an audit, and to deliver meaningful insights to the audit team and the client.  Key responsibilities may include:

  • Designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining automation solutions/models by using automation programming techniques such as Databricks, Python, Excel-VBA and/or RPA technologies (UiPath) by closely working with analytics seniors/managers/senior managers.
  • Helping seniors in designing and developing the automated solution for quality testing for various repeatable tests along with creating reusable test data.
  • Preparing test environments in advance of testing and run testing progress report, including defect management
  • Maintaining quality related metrics like unit test coverage and testing progress
  • Working independently with minimal guidance based on complex data structures, solving data related issues while developing automation models is desirable while adhering to the highest quality standards
  • Leading small teams and training the junior team members from campus on appropriate tools, technologies and functional concepts.
  • Designing, developing, testing and deploying new analytic solutions and standardizing/automating existing solutions
  • Automating manually-intensive audit procedures using various technologies outlined above to enhance audit efficiency
  • Developing meaningful data visualization dashboards for effective communication of data trends, patterns, and anomalies, using tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Building an understanding of different ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, People Soft, etc. and utilizing various data acquisition methods to obtain data from clients efficiently and effectively.
  • Gaining deep industry knowledge as well as business process understanding to develop purposeful analytic solutions.
  • Supporting the development of standardized industry analytics by understanding the changing regulatory norms, including ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)
  • Building and managing relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing audit documentation of analytics solutions and dashboards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Master’s degree (CS/IT) in Engineering – preferred
  • Master of Computer Applications (MCA) – preferred
  • M.Sc - Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics – preferred
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) - preferred

Required experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in building automation models using Databricks, Python, PySpark or Excel-VBA with a focus on industry (hands-on experience with at least one technology is mandatory).
  • Applying automation tools to solve complex analytics and automation problems
  • Testing automation models and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Preferred experience

  • Relevant certifications in any of the technologies listed above
  • Technical Experience in Spark R, RPA technologies
  • Basic knowledge of accounting or auditing
  • Experience in data analytics with a focus on industry
  • Experience handling large data files in different formats along with strong programming skills
